How many have you seen?

As iconic as it is to see a yellow cab on the streets of NYC, our taxis have been gracing the silver screens of Hollywood for decades. Whether its a glamorous exit from a cab, or a chase through Central Park, a scene with a taxi lets the audience know immediately that the action is taking place in the Big Apple. ABC7 has rounded up a list of the top ten movies where a yellow cab plays an integral part of the plot. Grab some popcorn and check them out!

1) "Taxi Driver" - For the sake of this list, the whole movie counts, as it portrays Robert DeNiro as a taxi driver working nights while dealing with PTSD from the Vietnam War.

2) "Godzilla" - Mathew Broderick and others are trapped in a cab Godzilla tries to eat.

3) "Die Hard with a Vengeance" - Bruce Willis commandeers cab through Central Park with Samuel L. Jackson riding shotgun.

4) "Scrooged" - David Johanson plays a cab driver who is the Ghost of Christmas Past for Bill Murray.

5) "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - Right there, in the opening scene, which ties into the movie's closing scene beautifully.

6) "On the Town" - You gotta laugh along with Cabbie Betty Garrett and Frank Sinatra's banter while riding in a '46 De Soto Deluxe.

7) "The Manchurian Candidate" - Janet Leigh puts the move on Frank at night.

8) "Coming to America" - Eddie and Arsenio head to Queens with Jake Steinfeld, but he actually drops them off in Brooklyn!

9) "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" - A chase between Steve Martin and Kevin Bacon to secure a cab in Midtown.

10) "Home Alone 2" - Definitely on the shorter side of taxi cameos, but one of the most memorable scenes as Macaulay Culkin navigates the city at night.
